Dylan – Crufts Best in Show winner is back for more

The fantastic little Papillon who stormed to Best in Show at Crufts in March, having traveled all the way from Belgium, was back in the UK last week and once again leaves Blighty with another Best in Show award. ‘Dylan the villain’, as he has been named by his owner Kathleen Roosens, came back to complete at the second biggest show in Britain – Birmingham National and wins his second UK Best in Show this time from judge Sandra Marshall.

Having won Crufts in March Dylan’s owner has made the long trip back with the aim of winning CCs which dogs need to win three of in the UK to become a champion. He is already an American, Swedish, French, Polish, Croatian and Danish champion, however the UK champion title is one of the hardest to achieve and most coveted in the world.

So despite already being a Crufts Best in Show winner (video below), where he won his first CC, Kathleen has decided to bring Dylan back to try and become a UK champion too.

With his latest UK Best in Show win at the National Dog Show in May (pictured), Dylan now has two CCs to his name. With three being needed to crown him a UK champion its likely we can expect to see him in another UK showring in the near future.

At just two years old ‘Dylan the villain’ already has a pretty extensive list of achievements:

  • Crufts BIS ’19 (below)
  • Eukanuba World Challenge ’19 BIS3
  • UK national BIS ’19
  • KV Rijnland BIS ’19
  • Zagreb Winner BIS ’18
  • Benelux Winner BIS ’18
  • Kortrijk BIS ’18
  • Vasteras BIS ’18
  • Junior BIS World Dog Show ’17

Dylan is not the only Crufts Best in Show winner to come back to the UK on a hunt for glory and a UK title. Back in 2015 Ch McVan’s To Russia With Love the Scottish Terrier won Best in Show at Crufts having spent a year with his handler in the US. He then headed for home in Russia with his owner but he wasn’t finished there! Later that year in July he was back at Windsor where he won second place in the Terrier group.

Funnily enough on that day the Terrier group winner was another dog who had traveled from Russia – Bedlington Terrier L’end Show Metti Surprise at Glare.
